Real friendly people running the place. High on toppings and cheese. Crust is a little too moist for my liking as I prefer a dryer thin crust. However it has a good taste. Restaurant is very clean and they have outside seating. Would be nice if they served beer though. Prices were reasonable. Id recommend stopping in

My two sausage slices were really four slices of deliciousness. They bake it fresh for you. They have pies in the glass, but those are for show since people ordered those slices but weren't served em. So, they slide in the slices to the oven and within five minutes, it's yours. I didn't even ask for little sauce, it was given. I appreciate that. I appreciate the fact one napkin served four slices. Gets cramped during the rush with minimal tables inside. There is a nice outdoor patio in the back, but you won't see much. Come for a slice and don't get mad when the mom/owner? calls out your order even if you are standing right in front of you.

Moved to Des Plaines 2 weeks ago, and suddenly found ourselves in a house with 10 people in it and no food. We thought ordering takeout pizza would make sense but knew nothing about any of the local places. So we went with with Gigio's as one of the closest independent shops. We avoided deep-dish, and ordered a veggie, a shrimp + feta, and a pepperoni. Everyone was very happy! People reported being impressed that the bell peppers were roasted rather than raw on the veggie pizza. We'll certainly try this place again.

Great Pizza, nice people. I found this place after a chamber of commerce meeting down the street. $3 for a giant slice is a great deal. New specialties each day. Stopped in three times this week. Looking forward to coming to this place for years.

Forget the pizza, what you want is a PANZEROTTI . It is like a fried calzone. The dough is so soft but has a light crispy outside, with sauce, cheese and choice of fillings (pepperoni for me please) inside. My whole family loves these and it is on the list of items to eat when back in the Chicago-land area. We even found out that they heat up well-since my sister-in-law brought one back for us on the plane. I bought a pizza from here once and it is gross.

WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The pizza has an addicting taste. The fried panzerotti are the best in all of Illinois yes I said it the best great outdoor dining family run place Not fancy just great pizza and FRIED panzerotti everything else I don't care for dine in or delivery always fast

This is a nice neighborhood joint with quality pizza. The ingredients are fresh. I highly recommend their Spinach and Ricotta cheese pizza. Last time I was there I had that one by the slice and it was great. My only recommendation to the owner would be to lower the price of soft drinks. A small soft drink is $1.5 and a $1 price would seem more reasonable, especially since there aren't any free refills. All in all, this place is on my list of great pizza establishments.

Love to stop in here for a slice of pizza. They always seem to be offering pizza slices outside of the norm (who knew feta and spinach pizza was good!) and even the whole pan pizza's you order to taste are satisfying. I like a thicker and more "meaty" pizza and this is what Gigio's tends to deliver without fail, one of the few "flat" pizzas I really like as I'm more of a deep dish girl myself. As for the "cafeteria style" pizza comment, that is simply incorrect. They have slices of pizza on display that you can quickly get as a to go, single serve option but they're not fully cooked and get put in the oven right after you order it for 5mins so you end up with a hot piece. Gigio's is definetly a place we will be doing repeat buisness.

I was not impressed at all by this pizza. It is overpriced cardboard. At $14.95 for a large pizza with pepperoni? Over 20 bucks on delivery? I would take a Lou Malnati's, Pequod's or Giordano's over these guys any day of the week.

I didn't even know that Gigio's had moved to Des Plaines... they've been around forever... growing up in Rogers Park, Gigio's was the neighborhood pizza joint. I was happy to have found it last week - the margherita pizza (basic italian style with basil, tomato, mozzarella) is delicious. sad thing is that the owner/mom was saying that the economy has taken a toll on their sales... Support small business! Stop by gigio's if you are in the area - you won't be disappointed.

Not a big fan. Pizza is not that great. We have tried this place twice and both times have walked away feeling like someone cheated me out of a meal not to mention making me feel like some pick pocketed me and took my cash.

Nice enough spot to grab lunch during the work day, although it can get pretty busy. Looking at it's exterior you'd never guess there's space for a patio area to sit in. Which is only nice when it's sunny out. Though, that outdoor area is just as the inside is, cramped. Their pizza is average. Slices are priced at a value and are best when they come fresh out of the oven, I dislike having their slices reheated. I've heard from locals that Gigio's excels in some of their other offerings, but since the pizza has never captured my return business I've yet to try those.

We have been at eating Gigio's (Mama Nitti's) pizza since the early 80's. When we want the best in pizza, we go for Gigio's pizza. Their pizza has the best tasting mozzarella cheese and the finest sausage anywhere and the pizza crust is to die for. This IS NOT a cafeteria style production as someone commented here. When you get a slice of pizza here you're getting a slice of heaven. Stop in - you won't be disappointed!

This place has really good pizza. It's a great little hole in the wall that's kinda easy to miss while driving by on Oakton. Great NY style pizza that has always been fantastic. Not bad price wise either.

No frills, but frills are not necessary. Let's just say its casual Order at the counter, pay the lady, they call you when your food is done. $3.00 for a large slice of pizza served hot and fresh? Delightful. Small dining room, small outside patio. Street parking or a few spaces in back lot.

Nice people. Good pizza. I had the thick crust sausage, onion, pepper and it held its own in the city of pizza. Good spot for a slice. $6 for a slice and a soda. I look forward to getting a thin crust sausage to go. I'll definitely be back.

Happened upon this little gem of a place. The pizza is amazing and the Greek salad fresh and crisp. The owners were very nice and sent out some fresh cheesy bread when he noticed our daughter was hungry. Highly recommended!

If i could give them more than 5 stars, they would sure have them all! If you want delicious pizza, Gigios is the place to go. Its so cozy inside, it honestly feels like home! And the staff is wonderful. But more importantly, their pizza is unbelievable. i am convinced they have a few secret ingredients. The owners are so kind, so sweet, that they make my visits even better. I am in morton grove, and fortunately they deliver to me too. Actually, I am currently waiting on a delivery from them as we speak.. Gigios is by far the BEST pizza I have ever tasted. HANDS DOWN. Thank you Gigios! Tina

We ordered carry-out early on a Friday evening using GrubHub and paying via PayPal. Nice idea. Our veggie pizza was delicious. Not greasy and the ingredients tasted very fresh. Hubs tried the pizza bread and I also had onion rings. 4/5 because the onion rings were soggy, not crispy at all. Will likely be back again; not too close to where we live though, so it might be awhile.

My wife and I were on a business trip to Chicago for a long weekend, and happened to be craving some New York style pizza. We saw Gigio's listed nearby with good reviews. We were extremely pleased with our visit! The restaurant is family-run, and the family was extremely nice to us. We decided to try the sausage pizza with a caprese salad. The caprese salad was seriously one of the most delicious things we had ever eaten. The ingredients were obviously fresh, and the presentation was amazing. The pizza was very good as well. The only criticism is that the pizza was slightly greasy, so the cheese easily slid off. This was a minor issue, as the crust was perfect and the cheese mouth-watering. If we moved to Chicago, we definitely come back often!

Awesome service and great food to staff is friendly and the place is always clean when I go to pick up my niece at night sometimes I stopped in here to grab something from my mom and she gobbles down the lasagna like theres no tomorrow. The ravioli is pretty good too. It's like $11 for a serving which is like one of those aluminum trays to take home so I'm not sure if it's a little pricey or not but the quality is totally there. They have parking on the side I park on front on the Main Street because it's easier just to get out that way in the seating area isn't huge but it's nice. Bathrooms also always clean.

Put an order Sunday on Grubhub 8:05pm. I received a confirmation saying my pizza would be at my house 9:35pm. 10:05pm no pizza, I call and nonanswer. I call Grubhub and the guy says that it has been a problem all day, they we probably closed for the holiday. Well since I just waited 2 hours for pizza and I received a confirmation maybe Grubhub and Gigios can get on the same page. He says maybe I should cancel my Grubhub account and go somewhere else for my food. Great customer service on both parts. Grubhub order #229550136

I'm a New Yorker at heart who is new to the area looking for a good pizza. Boy did I find one. I've been here twice and ill definitely be coming back. Second time I ordered my favorite white pizza. Mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, and basil. It was perfect. The crust is delicious and it's perfect flavor. I live near by so I didn't bother with delivery. Besides I'll take a 5 min drive and have the pizza in 20 min. Person taking the order is super friendly and polite. Service is great. Looking over the menu I may want to try few dinner dishes that offer. I'm sure I'll be satisfied.

Based on other reviews, I had great hope for the pizza here. I am a NY style pizza fan, and it's hard to find in Chicago. Imagine that. Nice clean place. The woman behind the register has owned it since they had a place in Niles. Very friendly. The pizza--meh. Crust was average and space, too. At best. This may deserve a 2 star, but based on other evens, have to give them one. Oh, and you don't cut NY style pizza into squares!

One of the best places to grab a slice of cheese pizza! Ive been there 3 times and the 2nd time i went i took one of my buddies and hes been hooked. I got a slice of cheese pizza. Cant wait to head back for another slice!

Stopped here on the way home from buying our new motorcycle. I ordered a meatball sandwich with mozarella and my husband ordered the Italian beef. Both of us got french fries and diet coke. Meatball sandwich was good...Italian beef was mediocre according to my husband. His opinion was that it was frozen beef. The French fries were good...a lot for the money..they promised free refills but my husband went up to the counter for his second refill and was told "you only get 1"....this said..customer service fair...food not bad. ...

Great place to get a slice of pizza or two at lunch time. The selections are prepared with amore and baked to perfection. Now that I can go back out for lunch, I'll be stopping in here again for pizza. The interior is warm, intimate and cozy. The aroma of fresh baked pizza fills the air. The owners and staff are warm, kind, and true to their Italian roots for authentic fare. If you have any room left after your slice of pizza, get yourself a cannoli. They're excellent too.

There pizza is fantastic! I've lived in the city and would recommend Calo for their pizza and their delicious sauce but GiGios for Northwest suburbs. Their pizza is phenomenal!!

I just found out that this place is in Des Plaines just down the street from me. I don't usually drive in that area. I remember ordering from Gigio's when they were on Devon 40 years ago. The pizza is still good. If you live in the area in Des Plaines, I would highly recommend it.

Gigio's is an absolute gem! The service is incredible -- friendly, personalized - they really make you feel valued. :) I can't say enough about the delicious pizza -- we've tried several varieties - all achieving rave reviews from family and friends - but my absolute favorite is the margherita. Absolutely phenomenal. Give it a try - and, if you can, order in person and watch your pizza being made - it's artistry! :)

Went there for the first time today based off of Yelp reviews. The old lady was there and talking in Italian, the aroma the minute you walk in is of pizza, and it is reasonably priced (I had 3 kids with me). I got pizza by the slice- which was $2.75 each. I paid $12 for 4 slices of huge pizza. These slices reminded me of my childhood in New York. Great pizza and you can count that we will be back often!

Too bad it takes only one employee to completely ruin an otherwise positive experience with a restaurant. I placed my order through grubHub for delivery and paid for it in advance with PayPal. 20 minutes after the expected delivery time and no pizza, I found Gigio's number and called to inquire about the status of my order. The man who answered the phone brusquely explained they had not received an order for my address. His tone grew increasingly annoyed as I pressed for answers. I checked the grubHub website and called the restaurant phone number listed there (it was different) only to get the same rude employee on the line. He gave me grubHub's customer service number and told me to call them. Not only did grubHub sort the problem with my order (it magically reappeared when their rep contacted Gigio's), I didn't have to pay for it, and I also scored some free grub too! grubHub gets 5 stars from me. It may have been a busy Saturday night, but Gigio's needs to work on their people skills.

FINALLY! I found the new york style pizza I've been looking for! Great cozy little place that serves jumbo pizza by the slice. There is a little italian old lady who takes your order, I'm sure she's the owner. They have a stone pizza oven that they use to warm up the pizza for you. Great price too, about 3 bucks a slice! Yum! They also have homemade sandwiches, and pasta, and appitizer selections too! I'll be back!!!

My dad was from Chicago, he grew up on North Moody Ave. and when we visited my Grandparents we always stopped by Mama Nitti's Pizza. (The other half of Gigio's). Unfortunately all of my family has passed but when I make it up here from Fort Worth I always stop in for my national favorite pizza. The flavor is still the same after 50 years. I love it all but miss the old location. Take your kids for a lifetime of memories. Always friendly, never cheap but always worth it. If you want cheap cardboard go to CiCi's, Pizza Hut or Inn!! This is worth the trip!

I love this place for lunch. We've tried ordering a full pizza here before, but it's just too pricey for what you get. The pizza by the slice is the way to go. I've had the garlic, pepperoni, and sausage, but my favorite is the spinach and ricotta thin crust. They crisp up every slice in the pizza oven, so every slice is piping hot and delicious. It's not going to overtake Piece as my favorite pizza place, but it's not the same style of pizza or establishment so it's unfair to compare them. If you work in the area or just want to grab a quick slice, check this place out.

As I'm writing this review, I'm actually eating a slice of their pizza. I've never been to Gigio's, but I've always driven by. Today at work, I was starving and didn't feel like going the usual fast food route, so I yelped and found this place. I walked in and was instantly hit in the face with the wonderful authentic smell of pizza. Boy do I miss that. Most "pizza" places nowadays are also serving chicken, burgers, fries, which takes over the aroma of the atmosphere. Not this place. At their serving window they had several different pizza's. I went with my usual slice of sausage and cheese. The sweet little old lady with her Italian accent asked me what I'd like, then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, ok maybe not yell, but spoke loudly about the pizza. An older gentleman (the husband?) came from the back and took the slices I wanted and threw them in the oven. $6 for 2 large slices of pizza? Why thank you! I got back to the office and was starving at this point. I took a bite out of the sausage and really liked it. Their sauce had a nice little tang to it. It's not your usual semi-sweet pizza sauce. The cheese was good, but I was hoping for more, because I'm a cheesy guy. The crust was crispy, but also chewy, which is how I like my pizza. This isn't your typical thin crust pizza like Barnaby's where every bite of your slice is a good crunch. This is more of a NY Style, fold it in half pizza. The sausage complemented the tangy sauce and the layer of cheese gave every bit a little bit of a chewy texture which was nice. I really like the place and it may be my new go to lunch spot for work. The true test will be whether or not my wife and daughter approve of their pies. The inside dining room is small, but they also had some tables outside. Parking was limited but there's always street parking if it ever gets busy. Eating my 2nd slice (cheese) and I can't finish. I'm halfway done, but can't finish because I'm so full. Yet it's so good, I still managed to take a bite every 5 minutes of rest. Although the bites are getting smaller and smaller.

Great customer service, pizza, and quick delivery too! I've eaten inside the restaurant, ordered food to go, and have had food delivered. The quality is always consistent as well as the courteous and prompt service.

This place sticks to the basics. Run by an older couple, the storefront serves up delicious New York style thin crust pizza. The pies sit in the counter window begging your stomach-eyes to choose one (or in my case two). Upon choosing your slice(s), they're cut and whisked to the oven located just behind the counter where the crust magically crisps up and gives it that magical New York style character. Yes! I'm a Chicagoan; I know what a deep dish pizza is. I love them too. But this is the alternative when I can't afford to be comatose in my cubicle after eating a brick of hot gooey cheese. The thin crust here is a great and delicious alternative that doesn't slow me down. Between pizza styles, there's no winner (as I see them as different animals) in my opinion. But what I do know, is that Gigio's serves up solid pies on the cheap. This is one of my go-to lunch spot that never disappoints.

When i don't get the chance to consume any delicious pizza for more than a few weeks, my body goes through a bit of a withdrawal. It's actually more of a sense of longing similar to the way a freshly hatched baby turtle feels towards the ocean. I want to make it clear how i feel: Gigio's is a fantastic place for all the baby turtle pizza lovers out there. Why is it awesome? Here's why.. 1. $3 pizza by the slice! Talk about a bargain, hello! When you first walk in you are greeted by a glass display case housing several different types of pizzas. The pizza is thin crust and the slices are generous. Not to mention it's absolutely delicious. There is a perfect amount of cheese, sauce, toppings, sprinkle on some red pepper and BAM! you've got a great pizza Emeril Lagasse style. Every day the owners put out different pizzas to be sold. They usually have the classics: cheese, sausage and/or pepperoni, and then there'll be a mystery fancy pizza or two. Last time I felt like trying something new so i tried the pepperoni pizza garnished with mozzarella cheese and spinach. Om nom nom. 2. Great place for dining! There are plenty of tables, the place is very tidy, and they've got a wide screen tv. Now, I am to sports and sports bars as lil' Wayne is to cowboy hats and country music, but i do believe i've had my first "bro" sports moment today at Gigios. I was stuffing my face with a satisfying pepperoni pizza while watching the women's olympics swimming event. I got really into it, and i reminded myself of a frat boy during an epic bears game. 3. Great owners, great service! Very nice man and woman who are welcoming and accommodating. They always give me extra hot peppers for my pizza. If you're ever in the town of des plaines and need to stuff your food hole with some satisfying grub, Gigio's is for surely a gem.

I have been getting pizza from this establishment since they were located in Niles! It is my favourite thin crust pizza in the entire world. The sauce they put on their pizza is perfect and they put just the right amount of cheese! I highly recommend and their salads are fresh---delicious!

We ordered delivery this weekend and I was super excited to try a new pizza place since we are on a quest for really good thin crust pizza. We got a cheese pizza, meatball sandwich, panzerotti and caprese sandwich. The delivery was fast and the man who took my order and delivered the food was so nice and friendly. The meatball sandwich and caprese sandwich were awesome! The pizza was really really good (even my son liked it and he is really picky) although I should have asked for pie cut. The panzerotti was fried and tasted like carnival food so I probably wouldn't get that again but everything else was great. I can't wait to try the pan pizza and get some different toppings next time. Gigio's definitely has a new customer!

I grew up eating Gigio's pizza and when they closed up the store from my youth, I thought they had gone out of business. Just recently I found out they were now in Des Plaines at the corner of Oakton & White. So, I asked my boyfriend if he was up to going out there for a slice (he spent his teen years eating this pizza also) and he was. So, my birthday was on a Friday and I took the day off. We got to Gigio's at around 2:30ish, so wasn't crowded at all. Ordered our slices and after they were heated up, we went outside. Heaven from the very first bite! This was the certainly the pizza from my youth! The sauce has just the right amount of spice to it! The crust is wonderfully thin and crispy! The cheese is extra gooey! Every now and again, the boyfriend and I will treat ourselves to a pizza take out. We'll order a pizza and then he'll drive out to get it. I'll warm it up back at home as we are too far for delivery, but it is so worth getting it from there!

The corner of White and Oakton has always had some great places...and Gigios is the newest! Great pizza...a HUGE $3 slice...mmmmmm. Their thin crust is great...but i love the stuffed options! The owner is behind that counter all day with a warm greeting and a smile. He works hard and you can see he puts his heart and soul into the food he makes. I also always get the caprese salad because it is so good here! Mama, behind the counter, has also warmed up a little over the years and smiles!

I just ate at Gigio's for probably the twentieth time. I love this place. It's my favorite pizza in town, for sure. A slice costs $3, more if you get some of the pieces with thicker crust (which, personally, I do not recommend). I get the tomato, mushroom, and basil mostly because I try to keep everything as healthy as possible, but their pepperoni will also be like sex in your mouth. Just don't look too closely at the pictures on the walls. I've spent way too much time arguing my friends about the inane things we see (or don't see?) in those pictures. Save yourself the grief.

We have been there twice in two weeks! Everyones reviews are pretty accurate. They still do not take credit cards and they really should have a menu board (you just get a piece of paper at the counter). You must try the baked panzarotti! It is AMAZING! Their sauce makes it! I can't wait to try some other things on the menu.

This place has really good, homade food. The soups are deliscious on a cold winter day! I had an excellent italian salad. I did enjoy the thin crust pizza. Glad I saw the good reviews on Yelp and tried it as it is also close to my work- so a new lunch spot!!!

My family started going to this restaurant in the 70's and we have followed Gigio's from two locations in Niles to their new home in Des Plaines. I have never had a bad meal and everyone that I have ever taken to the restaurant has been a fan and lifelong patron. The food is awesome and the service is always friendly. The Nitt's are a very nice and hardworking family. No clue how the one bad review got in here. I dare anyone to try to beef or pizza and not come away a fan.

This place has only been open for a few days but every table in the small dining area was filled today at lunch time. The interior is really nice and you can see the guys tossing the dough, topping the pizzas and using the oven. The lady at the register and the guy serving up the food were incredibly friendly. I got a slice of pan crust spinach and ricotta pizza and it was AMAZING! The slice itself was huge and the crust was spectacular. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings either. They can't accept credit cards yet but said they'll be able to soon. They could also benefit from having some signs. I had to ask what the pizzas were and the only menu they had was an 8.5" x 11" paper printout by the register. I'm sure this will all get worked out after they've been open a little longer. Overall it was very good and I look forward to going back again.

I just tried this place for the first time the other day and was pleasantly suprised. I had a slice of their margherita pizza for lunch and raved about it to co-workers. Dough was crispy, toppings were fresh and price was inexpensive. I will now become a lunchtime regular. Dining room is tiny, making Gigio's better for take out. They have few shaded tables in back where you can eat (next to parked cars) on a nice day.

They take the slice and put in the oven and omg its the best think slice of cheese pizza ive ever had. The crust the cheese the sauce its all perfection and its so simple!

The French fries were good...a lot for the money..they promised free refills but my husband went up to the counter for his second refill and was told "you only get 1"....this said..customer service fair...food not bad. ...

I was expecting the pizza to be something I'd crave in a few days...Unfortunately it was just okay to me. The people working were very kind.

Tina

Louise K.

Adrian W.

I've never strayed from the pizza but why fix what ain't broken? Absolutely top-notch thin crust with fabulous cheese and a great sauce. Mama Nitti knows what she is doing and the boys have learned from the master. Large slices for $3 in 2015!!! That's a win.

We love this pizza! Recently, I stopped by for a slice and tried their eggplant and peppers pizza, it was amazing! A bit pricey but so worth it.

Used to be a great pizza place...slowly the food got greasy and tasteless...really disappointing considering I'm so close by.

Very good pizza, friendly and fast service. You don't have to wait for your order, very convenient if you want non commercial, great tasting pizza to go.

I was expecting the pizza to be something I'd crave in a few days...Unfortunately it was just okay to me. The people working were very kind.

They take the slice and put in the oven and omg its the best think slice of cheese pizza ive ever had. The crust the cheese the sauce its all perfection and its so simple!

The French fries were good...a lot for the money..they promised free refills but my husband went up to the counter for his second refill and was told "you only get 1"....this said..customer service fair...food not bad. ...

One of the better thin crust pizza's I've had in a hot minute. I will be going back consistently.

Rick C.

Nice people. Good pizza. I had the thick crust sausage, onion, pepper and it held its own in the city of pizza. Good spot for a slice. $6 for a slice and a soda. I look forward to getting a thin crust sausage to go. I'll definitely be back.

Tina

I just found out that this place is in Des Plaines just down the street from me. I don't usually drive in that area. I remember ordering from Gigio's when they were on Devon 40 years ago. The pizza is still good. If you live in the area in Des Plaines, I would highly recommend it.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

(4)Matteo S.
(5)Rodrigo D.
(4)Kristen F.
(4)James K.
Great place to stop by for a slice!
(3)Matthew B.
I was not impressed at all by this pizza. It is overpriced cardboard. At $14.95 for a large pizza with pepperoni? Over 20 bucks on delivery? I would take a Lou Malnati's, Pequod's or Giordano's over these guys any day of the week.
(2)Patty D.
(5)Dennis C.
Order the margarita pizza. the best pizza in Des Plaines
(4)Dave W.
Been eating here for the last three locations. Great pizza by the slice but don't overlook the beef sandwich. Homemade beef and peppers are outstanding.
(4)Trent R.
Not a big fan. Pizza is not that great. We have tried this place twice and both times have walked away feeling like someone cheated me out of a meal not to mention making me feel like some pick pocketed me and took my cash.
(2)Jacob J.
(3)Dorothy B.
(5)jean h.
Best Meatball Sandwich that EVER was! Huge bag o fries too. Sandwiches are wonderful :)
(4)Doug R.
This place has really good pizza. It's a great little hole in the wall that's kinda easy to miss while driving by on Oakton. Great NY style pizza that has always been fantastic. Not bad price wise either.
(4)Jay T.
This pizza is sooooo. Not good ok service was little rude..ordered medium pepperoni sausage onions it wasn't good ..for pizza around Arlington des plaines and Rosemont? Go to jets.they got it good.
(2)Matt A.
I love there pizza. Now this pizza uses fresh ingredients and is always consistent. I wish there were multiple locations!
(5)Julie O.
No frills, but frills are not necessary. Let's just say its casual Order at the counter, pay the lady, they call you when your food is done. $3.00 for a large slice of pizza served hot and fresh? Delightful. Small dining room, small outside patio. Street parking or a few spaces in back lot.
(4)Mp Y.
Stopped in for a slice of pizza. They heated it up and when I got home the pizza and crust was so crispy and delicious. Nice people, great pizza!!
(5)Elle M.
Family run delicious food! The pizza and caprese salad is a must! The pizza dough is hand tossed (for real) and each pizza is made with care. Must try!!!
(5)Robert M.
I've been looking for a really good NY style pizza, and I think I've found it! Too bad it's so far away from Chicago...but totally worth the trip if you are out this way anyway.
(4)Joe D.
Nice people. Good pizza. I had the thick crust sausage, onion, pepper and it held its own in the city of pizza. Good spot for a slice. $6 for a slice and a soda. I look forward to getting a thin crust sausage to go. I'll definitely be back.
(4)Rob K.
Happened upon this little gem of a place. The pizza is amazing and the Greek salad fresh and crisp. The owners were very nice and sent out some fresh cheesy bread when he noticed our daughter was hungry. Highly recommended!
(5)Tina A.
Tina
(5)Asya K.
We love this pizza! Recently, I stopped by for a slice and tried their eggplant and peppers pizza, it was amazing! A bit pricey but so worth it.
(5)Anna B.
Used to be a great pizza place...slowly the food got greasy and tasteless...really disappointing considering I'm so close by.
(2)Marcos P.
Very good pizza, friendly and fast service. You don't have to wait for your order, very convenient if you want non commercial, great tasting pizza to go.
(5)Raul V.
I've never strayed from the pizza but why fix what ain't broken? Absolutely top-notch thin crust with fabulous cheese and a great sauce. Mama Nitti knows what she is doing and the boys have learned from the master. Large slices for $3 in 2015!!! That's a win.
(5)Rachel W.
(4)Andy B.
(5)Joann V.
I was expecting the pizza to be something I'd crave in a few days...Unfortunately it was just okay to me. The people working were very kind.
(2)Gerry X.
(5)Jim B.

If you want a giant pizza slice for lunch head on over. Great food! Great owners, sweet family business. Family atmosphere. Clean facilities inside and out.
(5)Matthew T.
(5)Ralph E.
(1)Jawad M.
One of the best places to grab a slice of cheese pizza! Ive been there 3 times and the 2nd time i went i took one of my buddies and hes been hooked. I got a slice of cheese pizza. They take the slice and put in the oven and omg its the best think slice of cheese pizza ive ever had. The crust the cheese the sauce its all perfection and its so simple! Cant wait to head back for another slice!

Was great thirty years ago in Niles and still great in Des Plaines. Landmark for sure.
(5)Kathy G.
The French fries were good...a lot for the money..they promised free refills but my husband went up to the counter for his second refill and was told "you only get 1"....this said..customer service fair...food not bad. ...
(3)Kamila T.
Double dough it's where it's at. Delish. Fresh. Ready quickly. Pleasant staff. Prices are comparable to other local pizza places.
(5)Joan L.
(5)Anonymous N.
There pizza is fantastic! I've lived in the city and would recommend Calo for their pizza and their delicious sauce but GiGios for Northwest suburbs. Their pizza is phenomenal!!
(5)David S.
I just found out that this place is in Des Plaines just down the street from me. I don't usually drive in that area. I remember ordering from Gigio's when they were on Devon 40 years ago. The pizza is still good. If you live in the area in Des Plaines, I would highly recommend it.
(5)Mandy S.
(5)Delilah C.
(5)Jane T.
(2)Mandi M.
(5)Bill N.
(5)Nicolette A.
BEST pizza in Chicago!!! We drive 30 mins just to have their amazing panzarotti.
(5)John P.
I've been coming here since I was 16 and now my kids come here, and they bring their friends. Great pizza!
(5)Rick C.

(4)Stacy N.

(4)Matt J.
Was excellent service, and pizza.

(4)Sylvia F.
I have been getting pizza from this establishment since they were located in Niles! It is my favourite thin crust pizza in the entire world. The sauce they put on their pizza is perfect and they put just the right amount of cheese! I highly recommend and their salads are fresh---delicious!
(5)Haley S.
(4)Debbie L.
(5)Louise K.
(5)Jake H.
(5)Wasay Y.
One of the better thin crust pizza's I've had in a hot minute. I will be going back consistently.
(5)Tava B.
Love love love this place. Pizza by the slice and always fresh salads. We will usually get extra slices for leftovers. Pizza is even better the next day re-heated
(5)Lindsay T.
(5)Beca L.
This place has really good, homade food. The soups are deliscious on a cold winter day! I had an excellent italian salad. I did enjoy the thin crust pizza. Glad I saw the good reviews on Yelp and tried it as it is also close to my work- so a new lunch spot!!!
(4)Stan H.
(5)Lauren H.
(5)Katy T.

(4)Andy B.
(5)Joann V.
I was expecting the pizza to be something I'd crave in a few days...Unfortunately it was just okay to me. The people working were very kind.
(2)Gerry X.
(5)Jim B.
(1)Jacob J.
(3)Dorothy B.
(5)jean h.
Best Meatball Sandwich that EVER was! Huge bag o fries too. Sandwiches are wonderful :)
(4)Rodrigo D.
(4)Kristen F.
(2)Jaime L.
Great food. Great service.
(5)Tina A.
Tina
(5)Kamila T.
Double dough it's where it's at. Delish. Fresh. Ready quickly. Pleasant staff. Prices are comparable to other local pizza places.
(5)Joan L.
(5)Mandy S.
(5)Rick C.
(4)Jane T.
(2)Mandi M.
(5)Bill N.
(5)Nicolette A.
BEST pizza in Chicago!!! We drive 30 mins just to have their amazing panzarotti.
(5)John P.
I've been coming here since I was 16 and now my kids come here, and they bring their friends. Great pizza!
(5)Delilah C.
(5)JR A.
(4)Stacy N.
Great customer service, pizza, and quick delivery too! I've eaten inside the restaurant, ordered food to go, and have had food delivered. The quality is always consistent as well as the courteous and prompt service.
(4)Jdub U.
(4)Matt J.
Was excellent service, and pizza.

(4)Sylvia F.
I have been getting pizza from this establishment since they were located in Niles! It is my favourite thin crust pizza in the entire world. The sauce they put on their pizza is perfect and they put just the right amount of cheese! I highly recommend and their salads are fresh---delicious!
(5)Haley S.
(4)Debbie L.
(5)Louise K.
(5)Jake H.
(5)Wasay Y.
One of the better thin crust pizza's I've had in a hot minute. I will be going back consistently.
(5)Tava B.
Love love love this place. Pizza by the slice and always fresh salads. We will usually get extra slices for leftovers. Pizza is even better the next day re-heated
(5)Patty D.
(2)John W.
Real friendly people running the place. High on toppings and cheese. Crust is a little too moist for my liking as I prefer a dryer thin crust. However it has a good taste. Restaurant is very clean and they have outside seating. Would be nice if they served beer though. Prices were reasonable. Id recommend stopping in
(4)Adrian W.
(4)David M.
(4)Randy W.
awesome pizza, and what a bargain!
(5)Chris L.
Great Pizza, nice people. I found this place after a chamber of commerce meeting down the street. $3 for a giant slice is a great deal. New specialties each day. Stopped in three times this week. Looking forward to coming to this place for years.
(5)Kim P.
(4)Matteo S.
(5)Lindsay T.
(5)Beca L.
This place has really good, homade food. The soups are deliscious on a cold winter day! I had an excellent italian salad. I did enjoy the thin crust pizza. Glad I saw the good reviews on Yelp and tried it as it is also close to my work- so a new lunch spot!!!
(4)Stan H.
(5)Lauren H.
(5)Katy T.
(4)Matt J.
Was excellent service, and pizza.
(4)Jaime L.
Great food. Great service.
(4)Raul V.
I've never strayed from the pizza but why fix what ain't broken? Absolutely top-notch thin crust with fabulous cheese and a great sauce. Mama Nitti knows what she is doing and the boys have learned from the master. Large slices for $3 in 2015!!! That's a win.
(5)Jim B.
If you want a giant pizza slice for lunch head on over. Great food! Great owners, sweet family business. Family atmosphere. Clean facilities inside and out.
(5)Matthew T.
(5)Rachel W.
(4)Asya K.
(5)Andy B.
(5)Joann V.
I was expecting the pizza to be something I'd crave in a few days...Unfortunately it was just okay to me. The people working were very kind.
(2)Ralph E.
(5)Mark C.
Was great thirty years ago in Niles and still great in Des Plaines. Landmark for sure.
(5)Kathy G.
The French fries were good...a lot for the money..they promised free refills but my husband went up to the counter for his second refill and was told "you only get 1"....this said..customer service fair...food not bad. ...

I love there pizza. Now this pizza uses fresh ingredients and is always consistent. I wish there were multiple locations!

(5)Nicolette A.
BEST pizza in Chicago!!! We drive 30 mins just to have their amazing panzarotti.
(5)John P.
I've been coming here since I was 16 and now my kids come here, and they bring their friends. Great pizza!

(4)Stacy N.

(4)Delilah C.

(4)Sylvia F.
I have been getting pizza from this establishment since they were located in Niles! It is my favourite thin crust pizza in the entire world. The sauce they put on their pizza is perfect and they put just the right amount of cheese! I highly recommend and their salads are fresh---delicious!
(5)Haley S.

(5)Louise K.
(5)Jake H.
(5)Wasay Y.
One of the better thin crust pizza's I've had in a hot minute. I will be going back consistently.
(5)Tava B.
Love love love this place. Pizza by the slice and always fresh salads. We will usually get extra slices for leftovers. Pizza is even better the next day re-heated
(5)Jacob J.
(3)Rick C.
(4)Dorothy B.
(5)jean h.
Best Meatball Sandwich that EVER was! Huge bag o fries too. Sandwiches are wonderful :)
(4)Rodrigo D.
(4)Kristen F.
(2)Patty D.
(4)David M.
(4)Randy W.
awesome pizza, and what a bargain!
(5)Chris L.
Great Pizza, nice people. I found this place after a chamber of commerce meeting down the street. $3 for a giant slice is a great deal. New specialties each day. Stopped in three times this week. Looking forward to coming to this place for years.
(5)Kim P.
(4)Matteo S.
(5)Lindsay T.
(5)Beca L.
This place has really good, homade food. The soups are deliscious on a cold winter day! I had an excellent italian salad. I did enjoy the thin crust pizza. Glad I saw the good reviews on Yelp and tried it as it is also close to my work- so a new lunch spot!!!
(4)Stan H.
(5)Lauren H.
(5)Katy T.
(4)Gerry X.
(5)Tina A.
Tina
(5)Kamila T.
Double dough it's where it's at. Delish. Fresh. Ready quickly. Pleasant staff. Prices are comparable to other local pizza places.
(5)Joan L.
